Get the Look: SS17 Makeup Looks
The Spring and Summer shoot for Trilogy Stores was so exciting this year, and I got to create many wonderful looks. I thought I would take a moment to share my favourites with you and tell you how I achieved them, so you too can referesh your spring Makeup!
Pretty In Pink
This beautiful Peony Jumper by was all the inspiration I needed for this beautiful, soft makeup.
Base: I layered Ilia Tinted Moisturiser in Belle Mare + Foundation in Tula rosa & concealed by layering extra product with my sponge under her eyes and with Inika mineral veil. to acheive a flawless, porcelaine complection, matching Model Loha's Skin tone.
I shaded her brows with the light taupe from the Louise Young Basic Eyeshadow Palette. For the eyelids, after applying Dr Hauschka Ivory Base eyeshadow , I then did a wash of MONROE pigment by Sugar Venom Cosmetics, just leaving a gentle highlight under the brow bone.
For Loha's cheeks, I warmed and contoured gently under her cheekbones with Inika Baked Mineral Bronzer and blushed the apples of her cheeks with Elate cosmetics Blush in Desire.
on her lips I used Elate's Spirit Lipstick, which is a bright lilac Pink but I softened it by mixing light foundation in it ( I used my Kjaer Weiss ) for a gentle matte pink.
Inspired by warm sunny days in India or Morocco I sought to create a Glowing Holiday look
First I changed Loha's skin tone to give her a more sun-kissed look. I used Kjaer Weiss (KW) Medium all over her face and highlighted the T- Zone and cheek bones with Vapour Atmosphere Stick in 130. I really blended the base with a wet Barely Definer Sponge
I then used Inika Light Reflecting Cream and Cosmetics a la Carte Angel highlighter on the tops of the cheeks, over the brows, on her nose and Cupid's bow, and at the top of the forehead, for that really warm sheen. I also contoured and bronzed using Inika Baked Bronzer over a little Darker KW foundation. to create a Bronzed Contour effect that looks natural and warm.
For those glossy sultry eyes, I used Ilia Shadow stick in Age of Consent and Layered some bronzes from the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I left everything quite "washed and blended, defining only with 2 coats of Green People Mascara on her lips I used Dr Hauschka Lipstick in Novum 04
French Spring Chic was my goal for this Sophisticated but playful look. Heloise is French-Canadian, so the fit was Natural.
I wanted the skin to look polished but natural, so I mixed the Vapour 130 Stick base with some Weleda Almond Facial Moisturiser and KW medium base. smothed the mixture in with my fingers and finished with brushes and a sponge, before setting with Inika Mineral Powder
For Heloise's Eyes, I did a very easy sweep with my favourte shadow palette, Laid Bare by Lily Lolo. If you follow my Instagram you will have seen it tagged in almost every post. I swept a mix of the 2 beiges from lash to brow and then gave a soft smudgy liner effect by pushing the dark brown deep into the lashline. I finished the liner look by applying the thinnest of eyliners using LY Cosmetics cake liner and a fine brush I then applied 2 generous coats of Green People Mascara ( I will make an honesty disclaimer here: this mascara does not work well for me as I find it smudges, however, I love it for work as it is a lovely Glossy black.) I also swept the beige shadows under the eye to soften and balance.
