Soft Makeup Tutorial Video

A Simple Green Beauty Makeup Video

Here is number 2 in my series of videos!

I thought I would show you a soft and easy makeup look, perfect for Spring /Summer and quite mistake-proof because it is a really blended look involving very few steps. it is mostly the kind of makeup one would wear in the day, but could easily be apporpriate for a casual evening or Holiday look.  The key is to stick to a sandy palette: Soft dusty pinks, beiges, shimmery taupes etc. I did use a black along my lash line, but kept it very blended and soft, so no stress about getting the perfect eyeliner, just smudge some black, charcoal or brown on to the lashline and off you go.

As I explain in the Video I am already wearing a base - Ilia Beauty Vivid Foundation in Mojave which I love for its light texture and soft matte finish, I did not powder it, just rather let it set at the end.

Eye Makeup

I always put a bit of foundation or concealer on my eyelids to start with a clean base.  I applied Elate Cosmetics Cinder Eye shadow to my eyelids using the angled end of the Eco Tools Eye Definer Duo and added more of a base on my eyelids with the Elate Clean Cosmetics Union Eye shadow

I used Inika Organic Pressed Eyeshadow  In Black Sands - A soft shimmery Pink + Matte Black Eye Shadow Duo as well as the Choc Coffee Duo. I think the colour payoff and texture of this shadow is great and the handy little duo is practical, you could just get 2 and have a great little palette. (my only criticism is that I think the bonding of the eye shadow pans in the compact is a bit loose)

I have also been testing out the Adorn Cosmetics Ultimate sampler Box and I used Charity and Jasper shadows in the video. Based in Australia,  Adorn make Mineral and Non-Toxic Cruelty-Free Makeup and Organic Skincare. I like the quality of all the powder products, just no so keen on the cream ones.  The idea of Adorn is really good, you can buy sample sizes and then larger refills of what you like, However they are a bit harder to get a hold of outside Australia try Lily Lolo Mud Pie + Vanilla Shimmer

Cheeks & Lips

I kept the cheeks really simple for this look, using only BENECOS Ibiza Nights Bronzer/Blush Duo. It is quite rich and pigmented, so if you are looking for something a bit lighter and more user-friendly Check out Dr Hauschka Blush Duo, or Lily Lolo Life's a Peach

For the lips, I used my fave Burts Bees Lipshine in Spontaneity. If you wanted something with a bit more OOMPH try a Nude Lipstick like Green People Velvet in Damask Rose, or even a creamy Pink gloss like Ilia Beauty Lip Gloss in Love Buzz.

There you have it!  here is the look with just
